Camp and Enrichment Coordinator

Position Summary:

Wayfinders’ Camp and Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all camp programming including camp partner selection/relationships, application processes, scholar outfitting, and transportation; overseeing all enrichment programming including creating and managing annual enrichment calendar and coordinating all enrichment events including transportation; and overseeing outcomes measurement relating to camp and enrichment programming.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Camp Programming – maintain existing camp partner relationships; identify and develop new camp partnerships as needed; manage the annual camp application process for all scholars; manage scholar outfitting as needed for camp programs; manage camp transportation process; maintain and track budgets across camp programming.

2. Enrichment Programming – create annual enrichment calendar; maintain existing enrichment program partnerships; identify new enrichment program partners; create and facilitate all enrichment programming for all three scholar cohorts in line with strategic plan and organization goals; manage transportation to enrichment events as needed; maintain and track budgets across enrichment programming.

3. Outcomes Measurement – administer and report on annual scholar, parent, and camp counselor surveys which gather data about our camp and enrichment programming; develop and administer other measurement tools as needed; work with development and other program staff as needed to report on camp and enrichment outcomes.

This position will require in-person work for most enrichment events but can be performed remotely at other times. Due to the out-of-school-time nature of our enrichment programs, frequent non-traditional hours may be required for program implementation and observation including some evening and/or weekend commitments. Occasional travel to partner camps is required. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required prior to starting the position. The position reports to the Executive Director, who will conduct an annual performance review.

Experience and Skills We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• At least 3 years’ program leadership/facilitation experience preferred

• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Demonstrated competency working across socio-economic, racial, and cultural differences.

• Ability to face challenges with creativity and empathy

• Passion for the work of Wayfinders

• Appreciation for and understanding of the work of racial justice

• Ability to represent Wayfinders to the public

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite helpful

• Bilingual skills preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary range is $50,000 – $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Beginning 10-1-22, Wayfinders will offer a supplementary stipend for benefits in addition to existing paid, vacation, holiday, and sick leave, and this position is eligible for an annual bonus.
